Erica Lee Enders (born October 8, 1983 in Houston, Texas) to Janet Lee Knizner and Gregg Enders, is a NHRA Pro Stock driver.[1]

Life

Erica is the older sister of Courtney, who was a junior dragster driver. They both attended Cypress Springs High School. Erica drove a junior dragster with her sister, Courtney. Erica is the most successful female Pro Stock Driver in NHRA history.

Career

2011: Broke the national MPH record in Pro Stock in Gainesville, Florida. 213.57 MPH

2006: Became first woman to qualify No. 1 in Pro Stock (Topeka) Recorded runner-up finish at Gatornationals in Gainesville, Fla.

2005: -Became first woman to compete in NHRA's Pro Stock Category since 1993. -First woman in NHRA history to qualify in the top-half of a Pro Stock field. -Became first woman to reach a final round in Pro Stock (Chicago 2) -“Road to the Future” Award finalist for the season’s top rookie. -Erica has more competition round wins, in one season (2005) than all other female drivers, combined, in NHRA Pro Stock history.

2004: Became the 35th woman in NHRA history to earn a national event victory (Super Gas, Houston)

2002: Finished 6th in Division 4 in Super Comp

2000: -NHRA Sportsman Rookie of the Year -Advanced to first National Event Final at age 16 (Houston) to become the youngest NHRA National Event Finalist.

1995: Jr. Dragster Driver of the Year

1993: Division 4 Jr. Dragster champion (8 to 9 year old class)

1992: Began drag racing at the age of 8; Original Enders Racing Jr. Dragster car is on display at the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum; Earned 37 career Jr. Dragster wins in eight years of competition

Film

In 2003, Enders had her life story turned into a Disney Original Movie, Right On Track. Erica was portrayed by Beverley Mitchell, while Courtney was portrayed by Brie Larson.[1]
